Lynda Maximenko

When Lynda was eighteen years old, she had summer jobs working in a very noisy weaving mill in Vancouver. Little did she know that one day she would be a weaver albeit in a much mellower environment.
Forty years later she worked with her mentor and teacher Agneta Svenk, who was a formally trained weaver and spinner. Lynda and Agneta worked together intensely for one year as a production weavers in the Upper Squamish Valley. They wove a lot of creations, that were sold at many craft fairs and markets that started to emerge that time. Agneta returned back to Sweden, and Lynda continued her passion for weaving and spinning.
"On 'retirement' I always planned on returning to my original passion which was weaving . . . so here I am with a passion to share what I love to do to nourish my creative spirit."
