Caroline Deschênes

Caroline moved to Squamish, BC, from Montreal, QC in 1997, after she graduated from an Art Education University program at UQAM (Mtl. QC).

Self-described as a “sketch huntress”, she is dedicated to the spontaneous magic of freehand drawing in pen& ink.

Her fascination for the Art of Henri de Toulouse Lautrec, whom joined both the Art of freehand drawing & illustration. Thus her endless search for recording the beauty of the décor surrounding her on the West Coast.

The artist also uses a digital computer program to refine her drawings and rework them as illustrations.

Caroline only recently started to show some work (2013-…) at local cafes, library and other local venues.
